Oshiomhole kicked against fuel subsidy removal under Obasanjo

Nigeria’s former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, has said the chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole opposed fuel subsidy removal during the administration of ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo. According to him, Oshiomhole who was the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) president then stood strongly against subsidy removal.

Atiku, in a tweet on the evening of Saturday, June 6, said the Obasanjo-led government had commenced a phased subsidy withdrawal. As the vice president then, he was tasked with negotiating with then NLC chairman who happened to be Oshiomhole.
